Dadi Gao is an Assistant Professor in Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School (HMS). His research focuses on developing advanced computational approaches for multi-omics data and gaining innovative insights into the genetic etiologies of neurological disorders (NDs). He received PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Sydney in 2015 and had his postdoctoral training co-mentored by Drs. Michael Talkowski and Susan Slaugenhaupt at MGH. He received the NIH K99/R00 Award in 2020 and started his own lab in the Neurology Department in 2023.

Postdoctoral Fellow
Huilin joined the Gao Lab in July 2024 as a postdoctoral research fellow. She holds an MD in Medical System Biology from Fudan University. Her previous research focused on identifying potential biomarkers for chemotherapy-induced thrombocytopenia, nausea, and vomiting in colorectal cancer patients by integrating multi-omics data, including genomic, transcriptomic, epigenomic, and metabolic data. In the lab, her primary research interests include the functional interpretation of splicing events, such as poison exons and their regulation in the human brain. Huilin is also passionate about leveraging cutting-edge algorithms to advance biological discoveries.

Yating joined MGH in July 2021 and is also a member of Dr. Michael Talkowski's lab. Yating develops deep learning algorithms in the Gao Lab. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a master’s degree in Computer Science with a focus in bioinformatics. After graduation, she joined the Elgin lab at Washington University in St. Louis in 2016 and worked as a bioinformatics application developer focusing on the development of G-OnRamp – an integrated, web-based, scalable environment for interactive gene annotation of eukaryotic genomes. From 2018 to present, she has been working as a bioinformatics scientist in the Dougherty lab in Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and has contributed to multiple research projects in the fields of genomics and psychiatric disease research by conducting a variety of bioinformatics analyses, creating a microRNA database, and developing scientific pipelines.
